New Library Guide on the History of AUB in celebration of the University’s 150th anniversary: “AUB History: a Short Guide”

December 13, 2016

The AUB University Libraries is pleased to announce the publication of a new Library guide entitled: AUB’s History: a Short Guide. The guide was compiled on the occasion of AUB’s 150th anniversary.

It was initiated by the Research and Instruction Services Department and prepared in collaboration with the Archives and Special Collections Department at the University Libraries. It highlights a number of relevant resources, including books, University catalogs, photos, magazines, archival material, as well as select online resources related to AUB’s founding, its history, Presidents, campus buildings and grounds, lush vegetation and botany, and the variegated and rich activities of its students. It also features a timeline highlighting select key events that marked AUB’s history, and its long running and firmly grounded commitment to liberal arts education (1862-2015).

The Guide can be accessed through the following link: http://aub.edu.lb.libguides.com/c.php?g=431715&p=2944880

We hope that our researchers, students and alumni enjoy the guide and benefit from the valuable information it contains.
