New e-Book Collections at University Libraries

The University Libraries have acquired the following eBook collections

  1. Access Engineering
    An engineering database from McGraw-Hill bringing together electronic books, handbooks and textbooks. In addition to that, it comprises interactive graphs and tables, instructional videos, curriculum maps, and global engineering news. Subjects covered include the following: engineering topics bio, chemical, civil, communications, electrical & electronic, energy & petroleum, environmental, industrial, mechanical, and operations management.
  2. Sage Knowledge
    A social sciences digital library containing more than 4,200 titles published by SAGE. The library includes scholarly monographs, reference works, handbooks, series, professional development titles and more. SAGE eBook and eReference are available in 10 subject collections: Business & Management, Counseling, Criminology, Education, Geography, Health & Social Care, Media & Communication, Politics & International Relations, Psychology and Sociology.

Book Exhibit: Books donated by the Centre for Arab Unity Studies

Jafet Library is organizing an exhibit of more than 400 books donated by the Centre for Arab Unity Studies, an NGO that was established to carry out “independent, scientific research into all aspects of Arab society and Arab unity”. Books cover topics such as Philosophy, Agriculture, Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Economics, and others.

When? May 1-May 31, 2014
Where? Jafet Library- Lobby

Throughout the month of May, over 100 books will be displayed every week in the lobby of Jafet Library.
All books are in Arabic and many of them were translated from English, French, Russian, Greek, Italian and German as part of the Center’s Arab Organization for Translation.

All are invited to discover this interesting collection.
